This print on paper, 'Keeping Watch', represents both my love for the beautiful countryside of the moorlands and the Yorkshire dales, and my passion for Dales ponies. Having bred Dales ponies for the last 25 years, they are very close to my heart. The pony in this image is taken from a reference photo of our own stallion Emperor. Dales ponies are truly resilient, stoic and hardy, and originate from the wild moorland areas as depicted in this painting.
