This atmospheric landscape captures the quiet freshness of the Yorkshire hills - especially a moody Northern sky, and sheep drifting through an open gate. I wanted to include the sheep dog having a pause, as seeing working dogs on the moors are quintessentially rural.
This is a gentle scene full of space and breath, grounded by the dry-stone wall and softened by the luminous, mist-washed sky.
This painting is created using oil paints on wood board - the painting itself is 60x60cm, and it comes unframed.
The painting is varnished and created using the highest quality oil paints to ensure preservation for decades to come.
